Autumn Fall Records
has began in 1976 when two business partners, Stan Freedove and Maximillion
Woodman decided there was no existing record label that was particular to
the theme of "couples in love." This, and their love of soft,
sensual music, was the catalyst to what is now a quite successfully independent
record label.
Autumn Fall Records saw their strongest and most consistent growth in the
early eighties, and by the mid-to-late eighties works from their label were
being used on a regular basis in major motion pictures boasting such directors
as John Hughes and Francis Ford Copolla.
Autumn Fall continued to grow throughout the nineties, but suffered a blow
by the emergence of electronic trance and house music. In addition, the
recent growth in the popularity of synthetic drugs also proved an impediment
to the growth of the record label in more recent years. It seemed couples
were more interested in blowing their minds than relaxing by the fireplace.
However, we at Autumn Fall truly believe in our product and will continue
to record and distribute it to loving couples who want to be "lifted
up where they belong." |
